2012 Shanghai International Interior Design Festival

Shanghai has been officially accepted into Creative Cities Network endorsed by UNESCO and nominated as UNESCO City of Design in 2010. In order to leverage creative economy in Shanghai, Shanghai International Interior Design Festival, coorganized by Shanghai Municipal Government, China Interior Decoration Association, and UNESCO City of Design Shanghai Office, has been initiated since 2010.

An unparalleled lined-up of speakers, such as designers representing UNESCO City of Design, IFI President Shashi Caan, APDC President Claude Berube, IDC former President Alie Chang and Kengo Kuma, have made Shanghai Interior Design Festival one of the must-attend design destinations worldwide. In 2012 HDD (Hotelex + Design & Deco) has offered Shanghai International Interior Design Festival a whole new platform with a focal point on providing overall hospitality solutions. Currently Shanghai Int’l Interior Design Festival has been included into the 12th five-year development plan of creative industry by Shanghai municipal government. 2012 Shanghai Int’l Interior Design Festival continues to inspire valuable dialogue and address a wide array of challenges through an unrivalled blend of forums, seminars and displays with some of the greatest design minds worldwide.
